7 tips for a happier pregnancy

It’s sometimes scary to see your body going through these changes, but exercising (take it easy, though) will help you feel a ton better. Things like yoga, swimming, or casual walks are always good.
We’ve heard from lots of teen moms that telling their mom/dad/other parent was one of the most helpful things. Even if your mom is disappointed in you, she’s gone through it before, and can probably give you advice on what you need, emotional support, and more.
By the way, most states have patient confidentiality, which basically means that your doctor doesn’t have to tell your parents. Your doctor can help give you tips on what to eat, how to prepare, and options for keeping the baby, plus she/he might have resources or programs that you can plug into!
And literally, what’s better than free stuff? Make sure you give your friends or mom a list of what you need.
WIC is a federal program that gives food to low-income moms, especially teen moms.
They’re high in iron, which a lot of pregnant people don’t have enough of, folic acid, and other nutrients to make you feel better & keep your baby-to-be healthy.
One awesome teen mom talks about how she kept two journals: one for keeping track of what she was eating, and another for writing down her own future goals. We’re not going to lie, being a young mom is tough—but what you’re going through doesn’t have to stop you from going for your dreams. Be kind to yourself, and write down things to stay motivated.
